Meet the Saltmarsh Squad

The people behind your legal marketing

Saltmarsh is built around a simple idea - you should always work with people who are genuinely brilliant at what they do.

Everyone on the Squad runs their own business, which means they bring the same investment to your work as they do to their own. And that means you get senior expertise, from start to finish, on every project.

Who's in the Saltmarsh Squad?

Six separate specialists, one shared mission: to get the best results for our clients. And between us, more legal marketing experience than we'd care to admit.

Helen Burness

Founder and head honcho (the one who started all this)

Helen Burness Headshot

Helen has spent 25 years working across every corner of the legal sector - global law firms, the commercial Bar, and NewLaw start-ups, including helping scale one of the first ALSPs through to exit. She set up Saltmarsh Marketing to give legal founders and leaders access to serious marketing support without the agency overheads. She does the strategy on every project, leads every client relationship, and reviews all work before it goes out.

Helen Taylor

Business manager
(Aka Operational Brain Helen)

There are two Helens. It's fine, we've made peace with it. Helen Taylor is the person who makes sure Saltmarsh runs the way it should - managing systems, carrying the admin layer, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. She's also a brilliant proofreader and copy editor, which comes in handy more often than you'd think.

Rebecca Cullen

Rebecca Cullen Headshot

Social media and content
(Your creative wing woman)

Rebecca is the person making sure nothing gets missed. She manages social media delivery, keeps The Bop (the monthly newsletter) going out on time, and generally holds the content side together. If something needs doing and it involves words or social channels, Rebecca's on it.

Yvette Asker

Yvette Asker Headshot

Web specialist
(We call her the Pixel Pusher)

Yvette works with law firms and legal businesses that are ready to stop apologising for their website and start being proud of it. She has a talent for teasing out what's genuinely good about a business and turning it into something that looks the part online. She makes the whole process far less painful than you'd expect - and if you've ever been through a website project before, you'll know that's saying something.

Frank Stebbing

Frank Stebbing Headshot

Brand and design specialist
(Comic Sans Annihilator)

Frank has spent over 30 years helping professional services businesses - including law firms and legal tech companies - build brands that make the right people sit up and take notice. He works across strategy, identity, and design, and his clients tend to describe the result as clarity and confidence rather than just a new logo.

Georgie Judd

Georgie Judd Headshot

Copy and socials
(The legal marketing Swiss Army knife)

Georgie is the person Helen calls when a project needs someone who can genuinely turn their hand to anything - copywriting, SEO, email marketing, social media, content creation. Seven years of experience across law firms, agencies, and service businesses, and she does all of it in four languages. The dry stuff, the creative stuff, the technical stuff. Georgie's got it covered.

Kat Szczesna

Kat SzczesnaHeadshot

Brand Creative
(Cool, creative & strategic)

Kat is Brand Creative Director & Strategist who knows great design turns heads, but clear strategy builds brands and offers visual clarity and direction for founders, small teams and early-stage brands. Which makes her a perfect match for Saltmarsh and HelenSquared’s legal clients.

How we work together on your legal marketing

Every project at Saltmarsh is a team effort, but it's not a committee. Helen leads on strategy and keeps the client relationship close, while the relevant specialists do what they do best. Yvette builds, Frank brands, Georgie writes, Rebecca keeps everything moving. The coordination happens between us, not via you.

Which means your job is to show up, give us the good stuff - your ambitions, your instincts, your opinions on what's working - and let us get on with it.
